More than a Smile

When she arrived, I thought my smile was going to jump off my face, back into the envelope, and travel right back to Ontario with the force of pure joy.

Well, that's not quite what happened of course.  I need my mouth for more than just smiling... Eating, blowing bubbles, etc.  In reality what happened may seem insignificant to the average person, but to me it was a huge step this week.

I had just put on my shoes to try and walk myself out of the funk that enveloped me at the beginning of the week, when I opened my front door and saw a package.  After reading the return address I thought, "Oh!  This must be the sweater."

It's my first time with her and I swear, when I put her on, it felt like I was getting a great big hug from my three bros.  A big hug was what I really needed that day.  And every day this past week when I needed extra support, there she was.  Well, really, there they were.  Three friends supporting even just with their spirit and silly conversations.

When I had picked up an ear infection, she was on.  When I was feeling anxious about going out and being social, she was on.  When I was stressed about work, she was on.

Thankful to have her these three weeks, as she definitely brought more than a smile.

Love,

Julia
