Travels & Insight
I was elated to see her again for round 2 when Jaclyn dropped her off. ❤
There was a different feel this time around. When we first started this little exchange during quarantine, I bought her new and hadn't experienced the feelings of connectedness, warmth and love now that my best friends had worn her too. She was a little older, a bit wiser, and so am I. ✌❤
She travelled with me to Wiarton, Ontario for a weekend getaway August 21st-23rd. Three hours north to visit friends in South Bruce Peninsula and to explore the beauty and tranquil state that high evergreen trees, clean, fresh air and simple living has to offer.
I wore her at night with mosquitoes gnawing on my ankles, and during a few moments of relaxation on my new found love of hammocks. She kept me warm in the cool, humid nights and reminded me of her prior travels in the hands of our 'brunette squad.'
A couple of insights I realised this time around:
- It really is the simple things is life that are fulfilling. Quality time with those we love, nature and laughter are the best way to navigate through a life filled with uncertainty and the unknown.
- We all strive to be in control and seek comfort in all aspects of life, especially in our mid to late 20's. Pressure put on by ourselves, family and maybe even friends to be at a certain milestone can make us feel anxious and insecure in where we are in life. We are exactly where we need to be right now. We are growing, learning, and evolving into the best, authentic versions of ourselves. Don't let your joy in life become warped because a girl from high school you haven't seen or talked to in 8+ years just bought a house. Jealousy is gross, and the green eyed monster creeps up on all of us. But, we are all healthy, smart and going to crush all of our goals we have. On our own timelines ❤
- Stay curious- it helps in our continuation of learning, growing and loving life.
I look forward to the time I still have with her until she is passed on to Amanda.
Until next time ~
💋🙏💖

What a beautiful photo of a girl filled with light and love. I love how each of us have such unique experiences with the outdoors and that we often do it together. The sweater is looking bomb with all her new patches!!
